Have the Republicans Finally Lost Their Mind?

GEORGE LOPEZ LETTING LATINOS KNOW THAT REPUBLICANS HAVE SCREWED HISPANICS LONG ENOUGH.
Even the comedic icon George Lopez blasted the Republicans for not endorsing Sotomayor. Let's just stop the hypocrisy.
WE AT EL DEFENZOR SAY BASTA! The Republican party led by !!!!. Please, let's not mince words and I encourage every single Hispano to consider this event related to Montemayor to vote more carefully next election cycle. Put it simply, many a Republican fail to appreciate the efforts of functional and contributing Hispanics, some want to build walls against our people, keep us disenfranchised. We cannot allow that to happen. Piensalo brothers and sisters. Don't be fooled. Will this election cycle (los Republicanos) ever appreciate that we are 40,000,000 strong and growing?

Thank you self censorship. Let's face it, 95% of the time SotoMayor voted with these guys and Cornyn and Kay BAiley throw her under the bus. To hell with them. She played by their rules, she went to their schools brother and sisters! Enough, how many times do we have to keep falling for false promises from these white supremacist REpublican??

Right on George. As toxic as the Democratic party is, the Republican party has screwed our country and do not want minorities at their parties, do not want them other than a vote and do not want to be inclusive and never will. Bunch of racists. F*** those putos is right!

Let's pray Angelica doesnt go Republican. Please don't do it. You are a good Democrat. Please do not let us be disappointed in you darling. It will cost you dearly. Be careful. Slow down, Miha. Think about what you are doing. Don't make a permanent mistake. Landmines are everyone. Mentiendes Miha?

Ouch! Angelica is sure on a very precarious perch. Torn between two lovers, Scott and KuyKuy! Aiiiyyyy, Caramba Miha. Hijo le!

Leave her alone. Anglelica will do the right thing. If the Democrats back her she will beat Banales, but who knows with our traitors. I say Angelica should stay with the Devil she knows. Republicans will not appreciate the awesome candidate she is. Stay with us Angelica. No te vayas.

Who says she is Democrat or Republican? Why are you all talking about Angelica? What about Tina Trevino? You all forget about that. And don't forget Banales plays for keeps. He hasn't been up there for 25 years playing tiddly winks.

I think that Angelica will make a great judge no matter what party she runs in. I don't know Tina Trevino, but I am sure she is a nice lady. Angelica is my candidate no matter what. I am a democrat, but I will absolutely vote for the best candidate. Banales is done and needs to go.

I just want a good honest judge on the bench in the 105th. I don't care if they are republican, democrat or independent. I just want someone who can't be bought. I don't know who Tina Trevino is, but I know who Angelica Hernandez is. I know that she doesn't bow down to anyone, perhaps that is why Ortiz is supporting Banales.

I would bet you are wrong. I think Banales' favorite game is tiddly winks. I wish he would take his board and go home...to El Paso.

I hope Angelica doesn't win and that she runs against any of the "ortiz" candidates next election...Abel Herrero, Solomon, Jr. or Oscar Ortiz. Anyone know what district she lives in? I would like to see her on the Commissioner's Court giving them hell.

It is sad and pathetic that people are turning everything into THEM vs. US; WHITE vs. BROWN; ANGLO vs. HISPANIC; POOR vs. RICH; etc....

If you people think that your current president is out there fighting for your asses each day, you are wrong on more levels than you can imagine. This individual wasn't "full on African American" until it was to his benefit. He's more ANGLO than I am and let me tell ya I am verging on Crisco! He is only in it for special interest groups and those that will back his agenda. Do you truly believe his actions and his motivations are going to benefit you? You need to check the bottom line and you will find out who's footing most of the bill on all these "reforms" and "bailouts" and who suffers most from the fallout. It isn't the upper class and it isn't the poverty stricken. It's the middle class (working paycheck to paycheck) and those who are barely above poverty and can't get qualified for social services.

I wish everyone would stop and look at the entire situation through eyes that are not tainted with donkeys and elephants, colors in a crayola box or the genitals between their legs. Programs and legislation are to be constructed and implemented with a Majority Rules, but having respect for Minority Rights. This is not being done currently, as the Majority is the middle class and those barely above poverty and noone is asking our opinion.

Don't believe me? Ask your dearly beloved, Robstown-supporting (only when it benefits him), bullying CSO when he is coming to town for a meeting on this Healthcare Reform to "set the record" straight. He isn't planning on coming to Nueces or Cameron County. Apparently, he has told many he doesn't want to deal with the mobs. Those mobs are comprised of those very groups I spoke of earlier who want answers and they are due that much.

The ones that have lost their mind Homero, are the ones that won't wipe the sleep out of their eyes or take off their scratched rose-colored glass and get educated on what is really occurring in our society at the federal level.

Republican, Democrats, Anglos and Hispanics............. we are all getting screwed and let me tell ya they didn't even warn ya before they put it to ya!

Oh.. and as for Angelica... I don't care what party she is or if she is LIME GREEN... Banales needs to be taken out of "power" before he really loses his damn mind!

Good comment Nogard. Good comments. Thank you as always. However, from my point of view the Republican (at least down here) is not "color blind"

La Rubia said...

Homero - I can tell you as a voter in Nueces County, I am a registered Republican. The reason for such is not my skin color, but the basic beliefs of the party. Yet, I must also tell you that I don't EVER vote straight ticket. I research the candidates and vote for those I believe would best represent me and my family - regardless of skin color or ethnicity or last name.

CORE BELIEFS OF REPUBLICANS
(and not those who are Republican In Name Only (AKA RINOs) and believe me not all that profess to be REPUBLICAN believe in these values:

1. When founded in 1854, the Republican party had various branches - "Black Republicans", "Radicals" and "Conservatives". All of these groups were ANTI-slavery and wanted equal rights and citizenship for all Black Americans. So, with that being said, the CORE BELIEF of true REPUBLICANS are a hatred of racism and a desire to see all people advance and thrive.

2. The U.S.A. is a Constitutional Republic - Not a Democracy. Our founders were opposed to democracy except in the limited areas where it could thrive - that beings small communities. It is a CORE BELIEF of true REPUBLICANS to study the Constitution and keep big government tightly boxed within the structure where it was orginally to be.

3. True REPUBLICANS believe that though we are imperfect, the U.S.A. is the greatest nation in the world. True REPUBLICANS are not fixated on this imaginary Utopia like certain groups/parties who live in a delusional world.

4. True REPUBLICANS believe religion is vitally important to sustaining a healthy nation. Although most Republicans are Judeo-Christian, there are some who are of other faiths and that is perfectly fine. Yet, let it be known that NO REPUBLICAN will accept the perverse religious cult of many Liberals and that is Socialism.

5. True REPUBLICANS believe that ALL people in the U.S.A. are equal in that all CITIZENS have the protected rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of personal property. True REPUBLICANS do not believe anybody has the right to another person's success, wealth, or property. With that said, we are all in search of these worldly gifts, but NO ONE is entitled to any of them.

6. True REPUBLICANS believe that every worker is independently worthy of his own wages and not anyone else's.

7. True REPUBLICANS believe if someone commits a crime and are convicted, then they must do the time alloted by the judicial system. HOWEVER, NO JUDGE should invent laws or sentences, as they are to dispense fair justice to all.

8. True REPUBLICANS believe and advocate for volunteering, being charitable, honest and responsible. RESPONSIBILITY FOR ONE'S OWN ACTIONS IS A TRUE BELIEF!

9. True REPUBLICANS will tell you they strongly and openly embrace capitalism in the marketplace - as this is an individuals right to independence, fulfillment of dreams and "the greatest good for the greatest number". Meaning, do what is right and ensure it will reach many.

10. True REPUBLICANS believe in the family concept. The government is NOT the one to rear your children, the parent is the and should be the authority figure in all aspects. (Again, personal accountability)

I truly believe in each of these values. I practice them daily (maybe NOT all daily), but I will say I do exercise my right to be a TRUE REPUBLICAN. I can also say that if those who claim to be leaning to one side or the other, would read through those CORE BELIEFS above, you will see that true REPUBLICANS want and strive for the best for all. Please read through them again, and ask yourself... How many of those do I believe in?

Don't be a Republican or Democrat in name only. Be a person who believes in the CORE BELIEFS of the party you claim to be a part of when it comes to elections.

Republicans and Democrats can both fail at being "COLOR BLIND." No one is perfect. THe question at issue when we talk about public servants, especially judges, is that they should see past all the labels. Democrat or Republican, female or male, rich or poor, Mexicano or Anglo, it shouldn't matter. We have to be willing to take the first step toward making our government better by being the ones to say I am not going to perpetuate the hatred anymore. The way to do that is to rise above the labels and vote our conscience. Vote for goodness and honesty, vote for people who will serve with integrity, vote for people who will be strong enough to rise above it. I know it is easier said than done, but I still believe that we can make a difference with our vote. I am going to practice what I am preaching and vote the candidates this election. No more straight party tickets for me.

HOMERO VILLARREAL said...

La Rubia contributed a very well thought out argument for the Republican party, but show me one poor Mexicano Republican without health insurance and who is unemployed. Next!

HOMERO VILLARREAL said...

On the other hand, Rubia is right. Many RINO's who give lip service to independence and responsibility of one's own self. But, I doubt the rich get the same sentence or the same justice. It is clear they do not.

George said it all. Republicans don't give a damn about Latinos and they never will. Wake up Raza. You are being used. At least you can see the daggers coming with your own people and Democrats. It is a race issue. You color blind fools out there forgot that 40 years ago we lived worse than blacks in MIssissippi down here and were segrated, our lands were stolen and we were used and abused and still are. If anyone thinks that Karl Rove would let a beaner from Robstown be on equal standing withhim in his sick, white supremacist world think again. I am not against white people. It's the rich white people and the affluent corrupt and sold out Mexicano we have to contend with.
