$2.7 Million Awarded For Homeless Families

MORE THAN $2.7 MILLION AWARDED FOR HOMELESS FAMILIES

WASHINGTON--Today, it was announced more than $2.7 million awarded in federal funding to assist families who are homeless throughout the 27th Congressional District of Texas with housing expenses.

Brownsville is slated to receive $1,347,839 and Corpus Christi will receive $1,393,181, according to figures provided by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

“One of the worst situations a person or family can face during their lifetime is being homeless,” Congressman Solomon P. Ortiz said. “Many families are facing economic hardships, and I know the residents of South Texas, who face these conditions, will be able to benefit from these funds.”

Kind of hard to excited anymore Mr Homer for stuff like this because does it really and truly ever benefit the ones it was intended for or will it once again end up in the pocket folds of politicians, and powerful greedy whores of the federal reserve bankers and wall street sticky fingers. Who knows
